Just a reminder that for next class you should have your first paragraph for your paper written and a one entry Works Cited page, as your first paragraph should contain a direct quote. Look at examples of papers in your text. Also the web address (URL) for Citation Machine is on the bottom of page 14 in your text. Good Luck
And a reminder that some of you should be sending me your long sentence (thesis statement) which was due last class. I expect to get these late ones by e-mail this Sat.

First writing assignment for next week is a long descriptive sentence or two stating what your paper is going to do. It should be laid out and formated correctly on a single sheet of 8x10. See you next Tue.

You should have written out one or two long sentences describing the topic your paper will be about. You should use a word processor as you will have to hand in the sentences. See you next Tue.

Next class will be the research presentation by the library staff. Your homework this week is to further refine your paper subject by researching sources that would support a paper on the topic that you are thinking about doing your paper on.

The library research class will be on the 14th and not next class. So you should have selected which area or category you are going to write your paper in. Also you should have a few topic titles to brain storm with for next class.
